Today is our first official meeting. After class we decide to go to the library to further research base the project brief.

Before the official meeting , our group did some short discussion during the class break. Some of the group mates think that if need to do the hologram they want to do some thing that are large scale but the problem is the fees to purchases the perspect. So they think that the group should change to other idea.

i did some research before the meeting. That in the project brief got one of the choose is project mapping.

Then remind me of the some video i saw two year before is about mapping on a product and this also some idea i get after watching the coca cola hologram. The was one time that a lot of show branding try to use projection mapping to promote their possibility of shoes design of their brand.

But due to project mapping is something the already exits we thinking to link to some marketing plan that are famous in shoes branding. We saw that nowaday a lot of shoes brand let user to diy their shoes. So I got a idea to let the user design their shoes, and after the design we are able to let user submit the design and the design with project on the shoes with some animation.

Like this example above. We also think about the design of the booth and the setup so that we put into our proposal. By the same time i continue on the research about shoes marketing campaign.

And i find this interest campaign

but due the equipment, we didn't think much about it and drop it straight away. But we did do some analysis about the installation and see that allow user to see the shoes design is real live and able user the modified as well. So we think we can create something like this but is more eyes catching way.

So we end our discussion with shoes DIY design shoes projection mapping.

After dismiss from meeting, I went to discuss with jeremy another to share some idea. Then i only realise that in the brief had a line written create a installation to solve a problem. And i realise that our group installation didn't really solve any problem. Then i update my groupmate that our installation don't have any problem solving in it and we need to find a problem.

I went back and did some online discussion with my leader and my leader say that she will find out the problem and sources.

So me and angela try to figure out what we can do and change to fit in a problem. And i think we try shirt or other product.

We did some discuss like maybe change to kinect interact shirt closet. And try to research on the problem as well.

After reading the problem and solution i think that it is too forceful to put in a problem that not really everyone facing into installation will make the objective of the installation will become very weird. So i discuss with the leader about it and i think that we can make it as a back up plan first. Then we discuss again with the group again.

Morning we have a discussion with Gerry and Angela because wilson got some other to do so we start our morning meeting without and he will join us after class at the afternoon section.
In the morning we bring out the discussion i have with angela to gerry and see what he think. He was ok but for me i think it is still not strong enough and it is weird in the section of problem and solution. I tell that we can think the what we want to do first then only find out the problem cause this will make the problem and solution section not solid. So i suggest we can try to find other possibilities.

Actually i already told angela to find out other possibilities before the meeting. So we have some idea in mind but angela find in the group is mostly the execution possibilities no really problem. So most of the research cannot be use.

in this group they share a lof creative idea from all of the world and brand. When i found this video of an interactive installation which bring a very strong message to the audience.

And because i doing some research about social norms and youngster nowadays are everyday playing their mobile devices making they less social so maybe we can create something similar for user to interact with. So i propose this idea to my group and we further discuss from my topic. Put away the phone.

Wilson come out an idea of the user can interact with a virtual man that only look at pone and no matter how hard to shout and interact with the virtual man, he will only look the phone. By doing this we are trying to tell social media are making the people less social in real life. They only focus social in the virtual.

Then we start to create our project from the idea.

I incharge of technical so find out what are tool we need and the software we might need to use. I also create the use case and user flowchart.

After creating the flowchart and use case i compile all the references and insert a contact for the proposal.

Today is the submission for our proposal. We meet up in IIS to finalise the proposal before 3pm. After settling everything we have a consultation with jazmi to share our idea.

And i write the feedback we got during the consultation. After Jazmi told me what he feel, i also started to feel that our installation objective is not really that strong and our installation not really solving the problem.

So we come out solution after the consultation, maybe we can make the the character to a little boy or girl. So it will become a concept of teaching the parent how to deal with children that always play with mobile. If we are following to this concept we need to did some survey with parent. Give user a view of the new generation of kid is doing. And our installation to show the solution of now parent deal with this kind of problem.

After the discussion, we change a bit of the proposal and our leader order us to compile although i try tell my groupmates should refine the idea. But most say that we can refine later so i bring the files and submit into the server. And our leader call it a day and ask us to meet up at next monday.
