Today we meet to discuss about the feedback. As always we base on the feedback and start our discussion. We decide to use the dance gesture as our solution and we start to research how to create gif converter. So we start with the proposal first i share some info the found online.
each of us collect few different research to form a new proposal. because the image to gif converter don't have any references so i need to search out the coding to find out the way to create the gif generator.
This are some code that angela provide and i did few testing on the coding which turn out none of them are useful.
I didnt some test on access the webcam and find some coding for the gift file and even screen saving. But the coding for converting the photo and gif is very difficult. I get some feedback from some lecturer first is joanne but the feedback she give is normal is jpeg converter very less see gif converter.
I focus and the coding everyone else is focusing on the video.

Today we finalize our proposal and video so that we can submission the documentation video tomorrow while i am still finding the solution for the gift converter. I come out a back up plan by just capturing one photo and i also refine the flowchart and uses case to put into the video.

Today we submit the document video and get some feedback on our new project brief and idea. Before i ask Jam about technical part of the i gif u joker. I show the tutorial and some coding source i get from the internet and show it to Jam. Jam try some of the code but he say that is a bit difficult to create something like some he suggested us to record video in state of compiling images to gifs files. As for the video that are no much problem on it but subtitle and more detail need to add in and because the gift files and message is not there our installation is not solid enough to finalize and start our progress. And the interface design need to refine. Using closet can mean another meaning and the color make the game look racist.
Due to some disagreement of previous proposal. Our group start to rethink the idea and proposal all over again.
This time we start by focusing what are the problem in group range. Because i think i understand our group range more than others. Then angela find some research online.
This is an installation for user to interact with the virtual people in the screen. They will need to follow the the gesture that the virtual people show in the screen then follow it. When the user success the people in the screen will change to another person. I personally think that this installation very meaningful and the are some that can be connect to some of the problem that our generation are facing. I start give out my point of view and idea. I suggest that we can use this as an interaction to solve our younger generation. Younger generation this day don't really know the meaning of greeting and the propose gesture of greeting and this installation can help them to understand more. Beside that this can be selling point for tourism malaysia, Like there are foreigner or tourist came to malaysia it will be good for them to learn how local cultural knowledge.

Today is the day of presentation, due to the emergency she cannot attends. So we present without her. But she got update us some point before the presentation. We separate the point that we are going to present. During the present that are some point that make me feel very uncomfortable. Because that day wilson kind of emotion that make very uncomfortable. Due to our group start late which make our presentation look uncomplete so we are open for comment to improve. So we got possible feedback: People like the concept but the future possibility very limited. They suggest if it change to dance will be more interesting. Shahnim suggestion we can create something like a dance gesture and when complete will capture the images and compile to a gift files and let the user to send out to friend and family as a rewards.
Today is our first official meeting. After class we decide to go to the library to further research base the project brief.
Before the official meeting , our group did some short discussion during the class break. Some of the group mates think that if need to do the hologram they want to do some thing that are large scale but the problem is the fees to purchases the perspect. So they think that the group should change to other idea. i did some research before the meeting. That in the project brief got one of the choose is project mapping. Then remind me of the some video i saw two year before is about mapping on a product and this also some idea i get after watching the coca cola hologram. The was one time that a lot of show branding try to use projection mapping to promote their possibility of shoes design of their brand.
But due to project mapping is something the already exits we thinking to link to some marketing plan that are famous in shoes branding. We saw that nowaday a lot of shoes brand let user to diy their shoes. So I got a idea to let the user design their shoes, and after the design we are able to let user submit the design and the design with project on the shoes with some animation.
Like this example above. We also think about the design of the booth and the setup so that we put into our proposal. By the same time i continue on the research about shoes marketing campaign.
And i find this interest campaign
but due the equipment, we didn't think much about it and drop it straight away. But we did do some analysis about the installation and see that allow user to see the shoes design is real live and able user the modified as well. So we think we can create something like this but is more eyes catching way.
So we end our discussion with shoes DIY design shoes projection mapping.
After dismiss from meeting, I went to discuss with jeremy another to share some idea. Then i only realise that in the brief had a line written create a installation to solve a problem. And i realise that our group installation didn't really solve any problem. Then i update my groupmate that our installation don't have any problem solving in it and we need to find a problem.
I went back and did some online discussion with my leader and my leader say that she will find out the problem and sources.
So me and angela try to figure out what we can do and change to fit in a problem. And i think we try shirt or other product.
We did some discuss like maybe change to kinect interact shirt closet. And try to research on the problem as well.
After reading the problem and solution i think that it is too forceful to put in a problem that not really everyone facing into installation will make the objective of the installation will become very weird. So i discuss with the leader about it and i think that we can make it as a back up plan first. Then we discuss again with the group again.

Morning we have a discussion with Gerry and Angela because wilson got some other to do so we start our morning meeting without and he will join us after class at the afternoon section.
In the morning we bring out the discussion i have with angela to gerry and see what he think. He was ok but for me i think it is still not strong enough and it is weird in the section of problem and solution. I tell that we can think the what we want to do first then only find out the problem cause this will make the problem and solution section not solid. So i suggest we can try to find other possibilities.
Actually i already told angela to find out other possibilities before the meeting. So we have some idea in mind but angela find in the group is mostly the execution possibilities no really problem. So most of the research cannot be use.

And because i doing some research about social norms and youngster nowadays are everyday playing their mobile devices making they less social so maybe we can create something similar for user to interact with. So i propose this idea to my group and we further discuss from my topic. Put away the phone.
Wilson come out an idea of the user can interact with a virtual man that only look at pone and no matter how hard to shout and interact with the virtual man, he will only look the phone. By doing this we are trying to tell social media are making the people less social in real life. They only focus social in the virtual.
Then we start to create our project from the idea.
I incharge of technical so find out what are tool we need and the software we might need to use. I also create the use case and user flowchart.
After creating the flowchart and use case i compile all the references and insert a contact for the proposal.

Today is the submission for our proposal. We meet up in IIS to finalise the proposal before 3pm. After settling everything we have a consultation with jazmi to share our idea. And i write the feedback we got during the consultation. After Jazmi told me what he feel, i also started to feel that our installation objective is not really that strong and our installation not really solving the problem.
So we come out solution after the consultation, maybe we can make the the character to a little boy or girl. So it will become a concept of teaching the parent how to deal with children that always play with mobile. If we are following to this concept we need to did some survey with parent. Give user a view of the new generation of kid is doing. And our installation to show the solution of now parent deal with this kind of problem. After the discussion, we change a bit of the proposal and our leader order us to compile although i try tell my groupmates should refine the idea. But most say that we can refine later so i bring the files and submit into the server. And our leader call it a day and ask us to meet up at next monday.
